Elisabeth Spitalny
Founder & Chief Creative Officer
Elisabeth Spitalny has helmed her own Los Angeles-based design firm, Studio Spitalny, since 1999. Her award-winning creative eye and branding expertise has helped a wide variety of high-profile Fortune 500 companies such as Nike—with whom she shared a 10-year relationship—Hewlett Packard, Coca-Cola, Kodak, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean International. She assisted with the launch of Fairytale Brownies, for which she acted as Art Director and Designer for 13 years as the company blossomed from a regional start-up into the country’s premier gourmet brownie e-commerce business.
Prior to launching her own company, Elisabeth spent two years on staff at Johnson + Wolverton and two years on-campus with Nike’s Image Design department.
As a philanthropist, she has provided pro-bono design services for KABOOM!, a non-profit which builds accessible playgrounds for underserved communities. At a community level, for more than 20 years, Elisabeth has worked to raise funds and provide food, personal hygiene, clothing and other supplies for Los Angeles Family Housing, which provides housing and critical, lifesaving services that end homelessness.
Elisabeth also has extensive experience with grassroots lobbying for California state legislation. When a family member developed a life-threatening allergy in 2016, Elisabeth became a Latex Allergy Advocate, leading an effort to change state law—addressing the safety of both food workers and patrons — which resulted in latex gloves being banned from all California food service on January 1, 2020.
Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts from Scripps College and later graduated with a degree in graphic design from Otis College of Art and Design.
